Personal Projects & Experiments

My Trip to Colombia (2025)

Filmed in 2023, edited in 2025. Shot on the 2003 Sony DCR-TRV19E handycam.

A PORTRAIT OF WORDS LEFT UNSPOKEN (2025)

An experiment in surrealism in the back garden of the house I used to live in with my friends in Herne Hill, London.

Directed, filmed & edited by Samuel Sierra

Riyad’s Dream (2023)

In the last few years I have delved deep into Jungian psychology and the exploration of the unconscious through dreams.

My friend Riyad and I conceptualised a short dream sequence where he grapples with internal conflict involving his father. The main idea was to use a surreal situation and abstract symbolism to evoke emotions that cannot be expressed through words.

Directed & filmed by Samuel Sierra

Pixilation Experiment (2022)

Inspired by filmmaker Pascal Baes’ pixilation style and Takashi Ito’s avant-garde masterpiece ‘Grim’.

A very brief experiment I tried a couple of years ago. I played around with time-lapse in an unorthodox way where I used a slow shutter and, every so often, turned the zoom ring while taking some of the photos, which created this interesting zoom effect at the beginning of the video.

Moon Time-Lapse From My Bedroom Window (2022)

It was a clear night and the moon was full and massive. I couldn’t resist filming it on my Blackmagic 6K Pro. It took about 40 minutes for it to enter and leave the frame. Seeing it sped up and moving like in the video was fun!
